How's your sarcasm detector working these days?? Mine is normally top notch, but this video has me guessing. At first I thought it was a moderately clever but pretty funny joke put together by some bored teenagers, probably something like this:
(mischievous high school emo kids sitting in their parents' basement listening to Atilla and giggling)That's how I thought it went down at first glance, but the more I look the more I think it's legit. Certainly Youtube user MojoWeedPatrol9 does:
Dude 1: "Dude, wouldn't it be funny if we made the worst fucking screamo song ever and put it on Youtube? Oh, and dude, let's put like some crazy Engrish or whatever in the 'more info' box so it sounds like it's some weird foreign kid who wants to be the next Adam Lambert!"
Dude 2: "Haha, yeah! But dude, I don't know how to make music or whatever!"
Dude 1: "Me neither, but fuck it! It'll be even funnier if just sounds like some retard moaning over a lame Garageband preset, right??"
Dude 2: "Suh-weeeeeeeeeet! Hang on a second though, let's watch some Hyper Crush videos to get inspired."

Usually these things are pretty obvious, but in this case it's pretty hard to tell! It's certainly so fucking terrible that I can't imagine anyone actually releasing this to the public unless they have some sort of traumatic brain injury, but I also can't find anything to suggest that it is actually a joke. I love his positive attitude- he won't let lack of skill or technology stand in the way of extending his personal brand into the digital realm:
