I fully support getting shitty band tattoos when you are a teenager. I have several, including a Morbid Angel one that I got from Chris Chisholm (original guitarist in All Out War) in a girls' kitchen circa 1998. That was spectacularly bad judgment on my part, but I am going to say this bro has me beat. He is 17 and currently has the following tattoos:

My room mate has Hopesfall lyrics tattooed, and i thought THAT was bad... The only thing comprable to THIS shit is a friend of mine who's all 'Mr CrustPunk' has some shitty punk tattoos from highschool that include The Casualties, The Unseen, and Blanks77.

I just got a siqqqq chest tatoo from Chris just a couple months ago. He's a regular reader of Metal Inquisition(so is pretty much everyone else at Halo) and was psyched when he was mentioned in one of your previous posts.

I totally admire both his dedication to scene bands and his killer poetry. He's a real wordsmith and will go places with that kind of grasp on the English language. I can't wait to see him emptying trash outside the mall food court in five years.
In a few years the cool kids will be laughing at the "old dude with the gay tattoos" and asking him who the fuck Brokencyde is. Unless he catches hepatitis or the flesh-eating thing from scratching shit into himself like that.
Do today's scene kids have some kind of aversion to food and exercise? I ask because the ones I see all appear to be woefully undernourished.

I know that tattoos won't keep you from getting "real" jobs like they would have 15-20 years ago, but tats in places you can't cover up with normal indoor clothes (hands, neck, face) still do. It'll be interesting to see if those kinds of tats become popular enough that banks have little choice but to hire guys like this bro as tellers.
I say "Yes." to the tattoo/job question. I live in Austin and I see people with visible tattoos everyday with normal jobs.
I'll second Darsh's comment. I'm from the Austin area, too, and tattoos are pretty common here. That might be an Austin thing, as we have a reputation as a "weird" city, so I don't know how it is inother cities/states.

The Worst part about the dot dot curve tattoo, is the fact that he used that stupid metalcore font that 15 year olds use at my school on their flyers, that is promoting their shitty attack attack imitation band. Also i'm pretty sure it's created in micropaint or some mediocre computer program like that
