In this video, some label called Magic Bullet makes fun of Design The Skyline via a fake band called Tower Of Gopal. I know what you’re thinking: making fun of scene bands who wear shuttershades and neon is pretty played out, so it’s tough to do without coming off like a clueless oldfag who just saw the “Freaxxx” video last week. With that said I’m impressed, these guys pulled it off really well. Make sure you keep watching until the ending (around 2:15)- Ford Windstar jokes = never not funny!!
But what’s REALLY next-level is that they even made a Tower of Gopal Kickstarter page in which they beg for money to make merch (following in the footsteps of ex-Attack Attack guitarist Johnny Franck’s successful “digital panhandling” campaign to fund his new band’s demo). Bravo, guys- a parody Kickstarter account is pretty impressive stuff! *slow clap*
