The other day I was browsing jewtube for generic metalcore videos, and found this little gem from 2009. From the start it seems like a pretty generic yet lulzy metalcore video. It has everything in it from horrible attempts at humor to chubby metalcore bros playing in a grassy field. I’ll be honest, it was hard to make it through most of the song… very hard. However, as soon as I made it to the 4:20 mark, it all paid off with a sick breakdown.
BTW this band is “To the Lions”. I didn’t want to make a big deal about them because they don’t exist anymore, and this is the only song they have on Youtube. I’m guessing nobody ever really cared about them cause they didn’t have a hot singer, just some chubby bro with a receding hairline and mutton chops.
Ya should've done deathcore brah. Homeliness is welcome there.

Girl is a six, breakdown should have taken up like 60% of the song, rest of it was so ehh, and the lulziest part is how they tried to throw a twist ending on it. Hope that drummer is in another band, cause that beard is nice.
this song is boring as fuck, holy fuck! everything about these guys from the riffs in the verse to the clean vocal melodies in the chorus are a snoozefest.

This song was pretty boring.
This record was my favorite of 2008. The band was 3/5′s of Grade…great record
I remember seeing this video on YouTube when I looked up “Greatest Breakdowns of All Time.”
It is pretty sweet. :)

pretty sure they probably called it quits from embarrassment after finding out their manager was a con artist who swindled thousands of dollars from them under the guise that the money was to be used to buy them onto larger tours.

They used to be called ‘A Stained Glass Romance’ but changed their name for whatever reason.
lol this band was around years before bring me the horizon and WAYYYYY before we are defiance i personally know them since they formed in early 2000 you guys should get facts straight before judging a band and comparing them to bands that have openly admitted to ripping this band off.
This band is great, wtf are you talking about? Breakdowns are sweet but they dont make or break good music…this drummer is the shit dude, the musicmanship is thick and yes the guys are older…wtf..does that make them bad lol? you gotta wear skinny jeans and have justin beiber hair to be cool with the rest of the mainstream idiots?
I know lots of people that dig these guys, you are welcome to your opinion as narrow minded as it is…but dont make statements about bands being good or bad because you dont like them.
lots of good bands dont make it, the state of the biz doesnt allow every good band a chance and unfortunately pretty dudes are rewarded before talent, and an oversaturation of metal makes any new shit almost impossible to break no matter how good. Therefor just cuz these guys never achieved what you see as “big” status…does not constitute a bad band.
