Not sure if any of you guys are old enough to remember, but back in the day there was a site called MySpace. Mostly it was full of fat girls who got really good at taking pictures of themselves where they tricked you into thinking they were hot, but I often found cool bands by randomly clicking around the Top 8 of bands I liked. One of the bands I discovered this way was an obscure little deathcore band from Illinois called JEROME.
As far as I know, they only released a demo in 2007 with 4 or 5 songs on it and never really toured, although they seem to have a bit of a cult following on the internets. I really don’t know anything about them other than that they were probably in high school at the time, which makes them even more impressive, and that apparently their drummer is in Oceano now. I thought I heard that one of them ended up in Monsters, which would make sense since the guitars sound very similar to me.

monsters were soo good, but then frank from emmure produced for them and now they are way less cool
agree- the demo and “the righteous dead” were much better than their album
I never knew much about these guys. I’d just pull up “EAT THE GUN” on youtube and rock out every now and then. It’s a shame they never stayed together, but at least some members are still doing deathcore.
Eat the gun is practically an old mosh anthem for us guys in my town. We live in a shitty town in Wales and most people in the scene at the time jocked them hard.

Elysia got kinda shitty and completely different from the old stuff. I think the singer is the only original member. And jerome were sick back when I was first getting into deathcore

Monsters is still a band? I actually went to their “Last Show Ever” like a month ago in Kenosha… I don’t think they’re a band anymore, but I could be wrong. They could have been lying so people would come.
But I do remember this band, wow. Haha. I’m from the area they’re from pretty much, kinda shocked me to see them just now appear on your blog.
I’m not sure if anyone remembers this either, but the band ROOKS started out with Boz from Jerome as their vocalist. That lasted about one song recording called “Guess Who’s Back” then he promptly said fuck this
