‘METRO STATION’ IS STILL AWESOME MINUS HORSEFACE

Like any teenage girl, I was shocked and upset when Metrostation called it quits a couple years back.  You can read about Horseface Cyrus shitting on the band here, and I’m sure his ego made it hard for these kids to hang out in the same room/bus.  Trace is now using his stardom to make shitty ghettotech (whatever that is) in his new band Ashland High, for which I was only able to find an official myspace .  Shame on his PR team for being so out of touch with the youth of today, but it really is myspace-grade music.

While he’s been busy buying gifts for his California Azn, the Metrostation guys have been cooking up some of their trademark teen synth-pop and proved they never needed him in the first place.  I saw them a couple years back and the dude switched guitars 6 times, but never once did I hear a sound coming from the amp.  Good Riddance & enjoy the new song by Mason Musso- otherwise known as the “fat kid with talent”.

To kids dreaming of being in a touring band- this is the harsh reality of your fanbase.

As with all good American synth-pop, sounds like 5 year old JPop…

  2. The 16 year old girl inside of me just cried. – via me circa 2007.

  3. Let me clarify, the crying is out of joy.

As much as I’d like to imagine being in a band…. yeah, no.
