A good parody is based on some sort of insight about the source material that is inherently funny. For example, Team America is successful because it does such an amazing job of calling out all the cliches of action movies. The Vandals “Anarchyburger (Hold The Government)” is funny because it points out how retarded punk rock “politics” are. The funniness is not in using puppets or singing in a silly voice, it’s in how clever and pointed the original insight about the source material is.
On the other hand, you have stuff like Monty Python, Carrotop and Weird Al, who all pretty much just put on funny costumes, scream random, stupid words out and call it a day. NOT FUNNY, because there is no actual joke, it’s just an extroverted idiot who draws your attention with loud noises and exaggerated movements.
Which brings me to this disappointing “parody” of “Gucci Gucci” by Funny Or Die, in which they change the lyrics to be about fish tacos. Really?? A video full of white girls in Oakland rapping about Gucci and the best joke they could think of was fish tacos? COME ON SON.
On a positive note, the girl who plays Kreayshawn looks extremely smashable- even better than the lovely Lil Debbie, if such a thing is possible! If there was ever a better illustration how how a girl can be transformed from frumpy indie bish to boner-material with the right (slutty) clothes and makeup, I’ve never seen it. Compare how hot she looks in the Kreayfish video to the video above (which is actually pretty funny)- amazing.

Kreakyshawn and Lil’ Debbie’s fashion sense reminds me of little kids playing dress up. This parody is just as lame as the original. But I guess people like lame, so Kreakyshawn’s gonna go far.
And yeah, still don’t see what’s funny about Monty Python. Then again I haven’t found a comedy movie of any sort funny for a really long time because they all suffer from what I call Will Ferrel’s Disease (in some circles known as Dane Cook’s Disease), which is basically repeating something that normally wouldn’t be funny over and over in a really loud voice until people think it’s funny.
