On Wednesday Confession released a song from their new album and it is straight-up carnage. Asthma Attack is fast as hell with some wicked mosh parts and a pretty sweet breakdown fade-out. There isn’t a whole lot of information regarding the album bar a few studio videos, and all they’ve really said in those is that “it’s gonna be a lot heavier and a lot more fucking pissed.” From a band who named most of their songs on the last album from Mad Max lines I have no idea how they will do that.
On the lyrical front matters seem even more promising, because it’s here where Crafter promises he’s “not gonna write a million metaphors that no-one can fucking understand.” Cancer had a sound message of grabbing life by the throat and taking nothing for granted. This time round it’s a similar story, except with what I presume to be more throat grabbing: “you can tell the majority of the time, with the lyrics, that I’m fucking angry, I’m fucking pissed off.”
Music aside, the comments section on the Youtube video has some pretty heavy abuse directed at Crafter. I found “crafters a cunt…common fact…he is egotistic and self absorbed…… Myspace god!” to be most offensive. Why anybody would even begin to think about badmouthing the toughest member of Confession is beyond me, because I’m pretty certain he’s capable of cyber-killing someone.
So here’s what to take home about the new Confession record: It will bring the mosh, it will be fast, and Crafter will say “fuck” a lot.
Are you looking forward to the new Confession album? Would you try and pick a fight with Michael Crafter? Answers on a postcard to the usual address.

That one dude is a bad gun owner. Trigger control, you nimrod.
I noticed this too. Smh
I imagine seeing these guys after a show just having the most pissed off looks on their faces all the time. They probably punch people in the face who come talk to them. Would love to see them live.
Maybe its because im friends with so many actual criminals, but these guys are about as intimidating as the manager of a Pac Sun to me. They seem nice enough- when have you ever met a jerky Aussie??
The guy on the right’s neck tattoo’s potential meanness is well overridden by his swoopy hair.
Not so much intimidating as just angry. Like I would still go and talk to them, and still be pretty much okay if I got punched in the face. But they’d all look like this guy before/during/after they played.

I’ve never heard of this band before. They sound kinda like a Parkway Drive knock-off, but those are usually cool.
aha i just read this before i listened then as soon as i heard the opening riff i laughed,, you were spot on
This, they are pretty much exactly PD.
maybe it’s because crafter (lead singer of confession) basically discovered parkway and ever since they’ve been best mates. and they came up with this song at the parkway house (where parkway drive made all there music)
I can’t wait for the new album to drop. Anything Crafter touches turns to gold. Confession is like I Killed the Prom Queen with all the whimpy shit taken out.
I guess when you are used to seeing Jorge from Merauder holding assault rifles in myspace photos, it makes this dude’s hand guns look pussy as fuck
So who is doin the vox on the new iktpq album that I heardis coming out
Jamie Hope from The Red Shore. Feels so right.
it sounds like parkway drive and for the fallen dreams had a child
Seeing this band in about 3 weeks for about the 9th time. I can’t see why Everyones so over hyped about giving Crafter shit, he’s an excellent vocalist with good views. He’s not an asshole in person or anything nor are they a ” Parkway drive knockoff” they have 2 completely different sounds.
Agree. Nothing like Parkway Drive. Crafter is a nice dude; from a bogan town; who doesn’t really give a fuck about peoples opinons anymore.
