A week or two ago my friend shared a video with me telling me how sick this guy was and added “AND HE DISSEZ TYLER THE CREATOR IN ITTTT!”
I had to check it out.
Suffice to say I was pretty impressed. He has Tyler beat with wordplay and flow, hands down.

I was very unimpressed with Goblin and though I admittedly jumped on the OddFuture bandwagon faster than I could say horrorcore, I very quickly jumped the fuck off of it.
To be honest Hopsin reminds me of Eminem from the Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers albums.

The guy is way ahead of odd future simply because he understands he doesn’t have to act like a rebellious 12 year old in order to have some humor in his music.

only problem with this guy is he is always dissing bigger names, plus he was on thats so raven.
Why is dissing a problem? He’s calling them out for a good reason. And yeah I just read he was on That’s So Raven but idgaf. He was also in Max Keeblr’s Big Movie or whatever and that does not change the fact that he is talented with words.

Director and editor doesn’t mean he does cinematography. And as a legit cinematography snob, he’s not legit. His videos do look pretty good, but any ass-hat with around $5k can make something look legit these day. Every Community College has a film department.

I don’t know what’s more annoying, people riding the Odd Future wave by ripping them off, or trying to get some attention with diss tracks. Probably ripping them off.

As for the diss, why is that a big deal? Tyler got stale really quick, he’s calling him out for a good reason. In other songs he calls Lil Wayne and Rick Ross out as well, and again it’s for a good reason.
I hate diss tracks in general, if you’re a better rapper you’re gonna get noticed, no need to bring other people into your music and try to coast off their attention. Just do your own thing, no need to bring in hate.

The white contacts don’t add or detract from the appeal of his lyrical style to me, but it’s all good.
I’m from Houston and I’ll be the first to say I hate Trae and Z-Ro. They both have their defining songs but anything outside of those few tracks is weak, imo.

not a huge fan of tylers rapping but hopsins style isnt very impressive, its actually generic if you listened to rap from the past decade. but im glad theres bad blood between the two, i love seeing rappers beef when theyre both only marginally talented and will probably fall off the map in 2-3 years max (1 year for hopsin). i have no problem with diss tracks, on the contrary, love em. but making a diss track for everyone blowing up right now is, well, desperate. and i feel like this is about as bad as odd future, its just the alternative to whats popular(ish) right now. definitely horrorcore tho.
