I am always happy when I see someone from the hardcore scene do something successful, so I was super stoked when I found out that DJ TWOSTACKS is not only the brains behind one of the catchiest beats of the last few years, but also a legit hardcore/metal dude! After reading this interview the dude from Cold World did with him, I hit up Twostacks with some classic tracks and he fired back with some reviews that turned out better than I could have possibly imagined. With all the talk about sweatpants mosh and his uncle going to Candiria shows, I feel like he is a part of the SYWH family!
Also, THIS MAN KNOWS WHAT LIL DEBBIE SMELLS LIKE, SO JELLY :(

Winds Of Plague “California”
I’ve never seen that many pool accessories at a hardcore show. If they don’t actually do that and these are your friends please tell them they should. I’d definitely buy their record if I was at this show in the vidceo. and I would mosh too. This is a good song I like them. These guys are clearly having fun and making people stage dive so I can’t say anything bad about them.
The Vandals “It’s a Fact”
I’m a big fan of this kind of poppy punk sound and for some reason I always ignored the Vandals. This is a great song though its really catchy and I’m gonna check out the rest of the album when I get a chance. The video is really entertaining too I probably have this video on some “punk o rama” style dvd compilation at my parents house somewhere.
Fury Of V “Do Or Die” (WHO IS HARDER, FURY OR E-TOWN?!?!)
Fury of V is undeniably harder than e town concrete. The all time kings of wife beater / bubble jacket vest mosh. It’s funny to laugh at this video now but on some real shit I would not fuck with this guy. I used to hear all this stuff from my friends’ uncle when I was younger he would always be going to see bands like fury of v or candiria and shit. Bands like this and the victory style compilations definitely influenced me getting into hardcore because of that. That pinch harmonic breakdown at the end is the hardest thing I ever heard. Listening to this song makes me feel invincible.
The Bangz “Boys With Tattoos”
I really like this beat. I don’t have any tattoos but I bet I could get one of these bitches to date me. I don’t like the subject matter of this song and feel discriminated but I would dance if it came on at a party its pretty good. This picture from the video mainly sums up how I feel about this song:

Ill Bill “Chasing The Dragon”
I love this song I think necro and ill bill are great producers and MC’s. I know that they are both serious hip hop and metal heads and I am too so when they make songs like this I can tell its coming from an authentic place. And he’s actually playing guitar on this not posing like some other rappers do on stage. Have you ever heard their death metal band Injustice? Their demo was amazing they were kids when they made that. I don’t even know what I’m talking about any more but I want to go play my guitar. I heard a song necro did like this and it actually has Mike Smith from Suffocation playing blast beats. He is a genius.
Emmure “Solar Flare Homicide”
I’ve never really listened to this band much but I see people talk so much shit about them on the internet. This song is hard as fuck ! I like how they use parts of electronic music and effects and shit because it makes perfect sense this is basically dance music and I don’t mean that in a negative way. It also reminds me musically of bands like Korn and I definitely grew up on that shit and love this style. I don’t like the way these kids mosh but I also don’t go to Emmure shows so its not a big problem to me.

A Day To Remember “All Signs Point To Lauderdale”
This is a great song. I have to get this CD now. There’s something about bands like this that it makes me feel like im on an episode of the tv show “the O.C.” and I think its pretty cool. I bet if I listened to the a day to remember discography on mushrooms or something it would be magical I’m not ashamed to say that. I can’t watch the video though its painfully corny. I feel bad for the kids who are watching this and really relate to it because they get also get beat up by balding rednecks in the locker room every day. That promo photo at the very end had to get at least 4,000 christian rock fans to buy their record .
One Life Crew “Real Domain”
This is good. I never really listened to them but this is hard. When I try to write hardcore music it usually sounds something like this. Wasn’t there controversy around these guys having racist lyrics or something? Or are they straight edge? Or both? I don’t really feel strongly enough about their music to even care. I’ll probably never listen to this again honestly
Disconformity “Endocranial Cast”
I had to save this one for last because It’s hard for me to come up with the right words to describe how much I love this. These guys are so fucking cool I love how theyre in the woods but also wearing bubble jackets and sweatpants and shit. This is my absolute favorite kind of metal. Did you see how he busts out of the leaves and it just cuts right to nuclear war footage? Whoever edited this is a genius. Everything about this song is perfect I want to go to japan and wear an army suit and mosh to this. This shit is so groovy.
This was fun to do and I apologize because I feel like I was supposed to make fun of these but I’m not afraid to admit I like all this shit so hopefully my answers are still entertaining. I’ll save the boring self promotion but if people want to see what im doing follow me at @DJTWOSTACKS or go to www.djtwostacks.com

Hey man i was wondering if you could possibly critique some beats if i sent them to you, no homo of course, i would appreciate it.
go for it but i will be very honest and if you accuse me of stealing your lame ideas after i listen to them i will hunt you down and smack u
HA!
If you didn’t make them on hardware they are shit. Cut and paste isn’t making beats.
Small producer e-peen detected :(
hard to say whether metal or hip hop attracts more stangry elitists with sensitive anuses
So true. Most of the time I don’t even listen to music with instruments or vocals. If you’re not using the sound of atoms smashing together it’s not true music.
Using atoms is a lazy faggot’s way out IMO. I only make my beats with subatomic particles. The tone you get is so much warmer and more “live” IMO.
ur both proly queers? cause ereybody knows making hot jamz from dark matter is boss, derp. the sound is inferred you lamezz!1
oh shit youre right damn dude !
That Gucci Gucci beat is fucking legit, also nice reviews.
“it makes perfect sense this is basically dance music and I don’t mean that in a negative way. ”
never thought about it that way before, but this is so true!!!
“And he’s actually playing guitar on this not posing like some other rappers do on stage.”
I’ve watched the vids of Lil’ Wayne doing guitar on stage and obviously not even trying to fake it and I’m not sure if I want to nerd rage over it or just get confused.
That was me, I forgot the name field. This guy’s a wigger slam fan, too? Jesus, are you sure he isn’t a long time reader? He’d fit right in.
This rules so much. Two Stacks should be a regular contributor.
ALSO, HOLY SHIT ON HIS WEBSITE HE HAS HIS OWN SLAM MIXTAPE. You should definitely ask him if you can post it and see if you can get him to write some annotations on the tracklisting.
MY GOD THESE CRUSHING SLAMZ
Alright man thanks and Dirty you just might be retarded most beats are made using just a daw and a controller and by cut and paste do you mean sampling like really bro get the fuck over yourself or atleast think before you start poppin off at the mouth over the internet.
Sarge! It’s like you guys are brothas from anotha motha! Will you guys be top bros after this? Will you make your own slam mixtape? Will you finally get to sniff Lil Debbie’s butt-sweat?
YESSSSSS SO GLAD THIS HAPPENED when I saw this guy’s slam thread on the b9 I KNEW I had to set him up with some kind of interview here, and this rulez!!
Ha, I love his abrupt 180 on the One Life Crew track.
MAD RESPECT. I’m not much of a Kreayshawn fan but I immediately thought that beat was solid. I had no idea you were a hardcore dude, mad respect +2.
HOLY SHIT THAT DISCONFORMITY SONG
so fucking good, right?? #JPDM #JIGGERSLAM
FUUUUUUUUCK
get him to write more
Wow Kreayshawn must wake up every morning with a lot of anxiety knowing that at any time somebody could point out how hideous she is
I’m not trying to be all high and mighty about making beats dude. I’m just bustin your chop’s cause now days “everybody is a rapper or a producer” I got fruity loops off piratebay I’m a beat maker.
That Vandal’s song is from their darkest album, “The Quickening.” The band was a little uncomfortable with some of the tracks after it came out.
lol @ “Bubble jacket mosh”
lol@ how hard the singer of A Day To Remember is trying to look. Dude is a bitch and his band is full of bitches.
This is great. DJ Twostacks seems like a super posi chill bro.
i normally avoid coment sections like aids but you guys are great
