With all this talk of hardcore, slam, and sweet rap jams, I thought it would be good to write a series of posts about what is truly important in the world of music: hot girls singing super fun songs about dumb things! This first part is about reigning good and lovely queen, Katy Perry.
I don’t think Katy Perry invented this style, but she is easily and by far the most successful and best. That said, this will be the boringest post because basically everyone already knows Katy Perry. This will serve more as an intro than anything.
Notice the repetitive guitar line and the dancy drum beat. These are both important elements of 2k12 style girl pop.
Not really much else to say, but lol this song rules so posting.

This series of posts will be the best thing to happen to SYWH since scene-girl reviews of classic hardcore. Super stoked for the Nicki Minaj chapter; I discovered Stupid Hoe on this site way back when and haven’t looked back since.
