So the other day I was on youtube seen that Blood on the Dance Floor had a new vid and I was like pffffft, probably mor eautotuned seen crunk bulls**t, I only listen 2 REAL artists liek Adele & Tailor Swift, dat make music that I can rly relate 2! Much to my surprise, I found somthing that I cud ttly feel a zillion precent and almost moved me 2 tearz. :’(

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00pkNz0SgX4&w=560&h=315]

Right after the video starts it shows the BOTDF guys in a locker room looking rly deep n brooding probs reflecting on times when a locker roomwas were the source of there pain and hurt after being bullied by jocks cuz they prbly don’t even lift. But rly its about a kid who is being picked on by his classmates. They dont even say y there being so mean, but in high school there rly mean 2the filth of gay n that’s prbly the only reason there picking on him and not the kid in face paint behind him.

About half way through the video u stop feeling sorry 4 the poor filth of gay who gets bullied && he goes fully Goofy Tiem on his classmates with a gun. musically, that’s when u get 2 OPEN UP THIS FU*KIGN PIT its like a scene version of This Love by Panera. i feel like it shows like how its supposed to be liek of our inner conflicts and the chaos that can be unleashed when we let our darkest emotions become realty and allow them to determine wat we do

After th eAnti-Hero guys perfect kill streak, were shown rly sad pics of ppl showing how much thye care in now about bullying now that there kids got killd cus of it. Parents n authority figures ar eshown showign much they care so mucha bout endign bullyin gn schools adn stopping these horribal events from happening, but knowign that its too late 2 sav there kids. :’(

SPOILER ALERT, DON’T KEEP READING IF U HAVNT WATCHED THE VID N DONT WANT IT RUINED

Wow, ditching autotune was the worst decision these guys could have made. However, I do absolutely love the completely unexpected, totally entry-level dubstep drop. I almost screamed and jumped out of my chair because it was pretty much the last thing I would have guessed for the “rly intenes climxa of the song were the flthy gay cants take it anymoer and snaps”.

i really dont know what to say about this band/thing.

  7. this guy has the comments says:

Holy shit. I thought botdf was a myth. This actually exists. How… just… how? I was making better beats 2 weeks into FL studio and these dudes can’t sing or write lyrics. Just… wat.

My butt isn’t hurting right now, I’m just really fucking confused.

    • Sergeant D says:

They are actually semi-popular (where ‘popular’ is defined as half-filling 250 cap venues). I think their music is pretty crappy but props to them for identifying fat, closeted high school goths with low self-esteem as a market that while not the largest is very loyal and represents a lucrative opportunity for a lower-mid-level alt band (via capitalizing on their fans’ burning desire to belong to a community where they are accepted).

      • Anonymous says:

^This exactly. Say what you will about their music or image, but BOTDF absolutely deserves credit for successfully transitioning from scene to dark/angsty/Twilight-lgbtqfrfiendlycore, thereby allowing them to sustain and even grow their popularity while their other few active contemporaries are now basically stale jokes. I saw them with BC13, Deuce, and a million other bands a couple months ago, and the BOTDF dudes were highly visible, hanging out with fans and taking pictures; clearly very good with making kids feel like “they rly belong” (ie: reinforcing fanbase loyalty amongst flighty, unstable teenyboppers). Smart business moves + lulzy fanbase (I saw scene hair and trip pants in one night!) + legit fun show = backed.

Yes, I am a fucking retard. Got that in before anyone else could.

  9. xstayxiriex says:

holy shit that is audio from MLK’s I had a dream before that bass drop. serious lol right there. dying @ how terrible this is.

  10. Postmodern Warfare says:

There’s this fat girl who frequents the same videogame store I frequent and she’s always wearing a BOTDF hoodie and insists that the management put BOTDF flyers on the counter and because the manager is a beta WK fggt who wants to smash said fattie they are totally all set up there :/

Also this band is hilarious and I look forward to seeing them in Australia next year for Soundwave, so long as they don’t clash with any of the bands I actually wanna see I’ll totally be in the pit to witness the spectacle

    • Sergeant D says:

lol @ thinking 12 flyers on the counter of a video game store is ‘rly helping a band who means a lot to me build an organic fanbase from teh ground up’

  11. JFC Carbomb says:

Unapoligetically paid money to see them in concert a couple years back. My friend went into the middle of the group of neon dressed confused teenagers at the front of the venue while we wait for them to finish setting up and said “there sure are a lot of faggots here” the buttrage was too much to handle

  12. Not sheriff lol’ing or suisiding is the appropriate response to BOTDF going all srs all of a sudden :(

  13. Notderek says:

Does bullying really happen? Srs. I got called a fggt every once in a while( I didn’t even lift, see: skinny jeans and long hair) but I never saw anyone get tormented like you hear about in the news. Does cyber bullying even count? Should Sarge teach a high school class on how to not get butthurt by other peoples words?

Forreal doe if anyone did get physically bullied I’m sry :(

    • Sergeant D says:

I think it is ok if you get bullied a bit. Probably even a good thing.

I know I got picked on a little bit in high school, but in retrospect it was for good reason: I was acting like an annoying fggt, and the bullies helped me see that and correct my behavior (srs). It’s not always fun when people point out some part of you that sucks, but if you are smart you’ll learn from it.

At the very least, if you are going to conspicuously act like an asshole in public you should at least get used to the fact that people are going to react strongly to it (after all, that is what you wanted). It is your choice: fit in, or deal with the consequences of standing out.

      • YANNO says:

the whole bullying thing has gotten way too out of hand, not the bullying itself but the way the media and parents see it, sure its not nice to be called a fggt but if you do get called one ask yourself ‘y r they calln me a fggt :(, is it my gay haircut, is it my excessively strong annoying opinions no one cares about, is it bcause i dnt lift !’ then figure out what you can do to help yourself, im not saying go out over board trying to make friends with the people who mess with you but if you werent doing anything to make people think you’re a faggot.. chances are they arent going to mess with you for being a fggt

      • ANIMLBOOGY says:

I wasn’t bullied too often, it only happened a couple times when I moved to a suburb close to an area full of rich white kids. A few gave me shit for mistakenly thinking I was black/my lulzy metal shirts. I probably would’ve gotten my ass beat elsewhere, but in that area actually responding even slightly physically (slight shove) would basically make pathetic white kids scared of you forever.

So basically if some kid calls you a faggot quit being a faggot and bash him over the head with a chair.

        • TLDR says:

So basically if some kid calls you a faggot quit being a faggot and bash him over the head with a chair.

          Backed

    • Mr. u Suk says:

See i gots bullied back in middle school a lot for being a nerd, sometimes it was physical but most of the time it wasn’t. sure it rly sucked and its not like being bullied is hella fun but srsly it made me a very strong-willed person because I had to stand up for myself (bcuz liek the asst. principle was gonna do anything). I prolly should have lifted tho :c

Going through highschool and college I saw a buncha people who would get hella bent out of shape over not even bullying but like people just not liking them. I kinda think that everyone should get bullied a little growing up (as sucky as that sounds) because it teaches you to theres gonna be dudes that don’t like you and your gonna have to do something about it other than being a fggt.

    • Bronson says:

It surely does happen, and it has happened to almost everyone, but the problem is that like many things these day, the response to the problem isn’t to either deal with it in a productive manner (via learning conflict resolution skills) or learn from it (via growing a pair), but to exaggerate the problem to the point where people think it’s some new, horrifying epidemic rather than a fact of life. So instead of learning to either take the bull by the horns and address the situation or toughen up, kids are taught to act like entitled victims (why ME?!), and young adults are now started to take that entitled, victimized mindset into young adulthood (ie: “Occupy Wallstreet”).

      • This..

It’s all a product of the generation where “there are no losers”, everyone who competes gets a prize no matter how bad they suck and every kid is taught that they’re “special”.

        • Mr. u Suk says:

I remember coming home from like 4th grade field day with a bunch of lame participation ribbons and not only were my parents displeased because they thought the idea of participation ribbons were rtardtastic but even at that young age i was kinda insulted because it felt like the most backhanded award ever.

I lost the 3 legged race, dont try to tell me im still a winner plz.

        • Sergeant D says:

in b4 every team in the NFL is declared Superbowl winners (because the word ‘loser’ is banned)

      • TLDR says:

Do you really think that outrage over manipulative and unethical banking policies that wrecked the US economy is related to high school bullying?

        PLZ RESPOND

        • cougar party says:

I think he’s saying the lulzy way the Occupy Movement is “fighting the man” via setting up homeless camps in city centers and letting fringe groups control the message because “everyone’s voice has to be heard”.

        • Bronson says:

          Basically, the analogy is thus:

The current day reaction to high school bullying is often to act shocked and indignant that it is happening in the first place, rather than actually learning from/doing something productive about it. The kid gets bullied, like practically all kids do, but instead of reacting in a productive manner (toughen up, avoid, or do something to address the bully directly), the common day reaction is for kids to throw their hands up and shout “Why me?!”, blog about it, and wait for sympathetic brownnosers to tell them how special they are while bemoaning the sudden and recent “epidemic” of bullying.

In Occupy Wallstreet, the bully is either the government, capitalism, the economy, or whoever else is the target of blame for my (and presumably your) generation’s hard times, and the protesters are the ones acting like children. Rather than reacting to what is absolutely an unfortunate situation by stepping back and going “wow, the economy is being a dick to me because I didn’t acquire any attractive professional skills/qualities from my liberal arts degree, even though my parents promised I’d be hirable regardless of what I majored in”, instead the response is for people to meet up and go “LOOK HOW WE’RE BEING VICTIMIZED BY [insert bullying entity here]“, with no progress in their situation being made. And sympathetic onlookers see them and go “Poor protesters”, as people have never survived severe economic downturn before.

In short, bullying (in the literal and figurative sense) sucks, but rather than standing around yelling and crying, persevere and do something about it. I know as well as anybody that shit isn’t easy right now, especially if you are trying to simply get your foot in the door, but playing the victim and pointing fingers isn’t going to get anyone anywhere in the longrun.

    • Romeo says:

Their fanbase in a nutshell. As others have said: teen mallgoth rejects who don’t lift and need some generic angsty music to ‘save’ them.

Confession: have trolled BOTDF videos telling them to pull the fucking trigger bitch. Butthurt was nuclear.

    • Save Parker says:

I woulda thought their fanbase wouldn’t like that this style change up, instead of being terrible rapping esque stuff and screaming over synth, its just like a really really bad linkin park with placeholder lyrics written by the dude’s son to make him feel like he’s helping that they meant to change later but never got around to it. Guess they gots mad fan loyalty.

  16. Sven_McSven says:

I got hella bullied in primary school for liek, two years, just avoided the bullies as much as I could and moved on with my life, made friends in the last year of primary by changing to fit in, and I felt so much better about my self (srs). Pretty much same thing in high school, now in college I’m fairly popular and if ppl ever try to bully me I just flip it around and mess with them hardcore, often to lulzy effects!

Srsly tho, bullying can be hard, but I can’t see it getting to that point…

Also didn’t Rise Against do the whole “pls don’t suiside urself bcuz u r by00tiful” in their new video?

    • Sven_McSven says:

Just remembered another story from primary school, a close friend of mine got bullied in primary school as well (we were pretty much the social rejects at my 120-odd student school), school counsellor literally said “b moar liek them”. He refused, moved to a different school, and 7 years later he’s still a beta fggt :(

  17. thetotalbro says:

  18. Feathered_Derpent says:

So was it a conscious decision to target the smelly kid who sits up the back of maths class wearing entry lvl black clothes and drawing pictures of guns and people crying blood? Or did it happen naturally?

  19. greg. says:

im surprised they were able to film in a high school, would have thought that they would have some legal thing preventing them from coming within however many feet of a school by now.

  20. Romeo says:

These fucking guys. Creepy late twenties scene kidults. No doubt I’ll rage more once I watch the video.

  21. Romeo says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCuzjb9i6v4

(he’s not in this vid but srsly this shit’s even funnier than BOTDF)

    • Save Parker says:

I hope these guys give up on the nu-metal pipe dream and become regular people with actual decent jobs and normal lives, just so their regular friends can find this one day and make fun of them forever until they explode from embarrassment.

  22. Save Parker says:

I wonder how hard they hit on the jailbait in this video. Betting on ‘pretty hard’.

@ 1:16 – The chalkboard in the background reads “AMERICAN HISTORY, WESTERN CIVILIZATION.” Mirin dat subtle cultural reference to America’s brutal, oppressive history. This whole video isn’t just about bullying… its a metaphor for the cisgendered patriarchy that bullies all of us, every day!

  28. Romeo says:

Also guys, you missed THIS beaut, their other new video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPJ_AnmB9Yg&feature=related

In this they evolve from fagged up scenies to aping 80s glam metal. Check dat Gene Simmons outfit and crucifix mike stand.
