Red Cafe is a rapper who, according to wikipedia, is signed to Akon‘s Konvict Muzik, Diddy‘s Bad Boy Records and Ciroc Entertainment and DJ Clue‘s Desert Storm label, and has been rapping for like fourteen years without releasing an album yet. He’s been busy ghostwriting or whatever, but landed a song on the Coach Carter soundtrack in 2005. I guess he’s got an album coming out or something, cause I heard this JAM on an XM radio like three months ago and having been playing it non-stop.
I must’ve caught the like one time they played it, cause the video has like 8,000 views and probably is only going to be on the German of his album, but song just goes so hard, I want it to be the single and get played constantly. Here’s a sample of some of my favorite lines, and there are so many:
“I’m the fucking best, I’m the fucking best
I’m the fucking best, I’m the fucking best
Girl you got talent, your daddy should be the proudest”
-Strippers with daddy issuess really need to hear this more
“Got a white bad girl, fox like Megan
Fly black girl, do me good like Megan”
-Solid wordplay without changing the word your rhyming with, which he does a lot cause fuck changing words
“Pretty young thang, wearing no panties
Gonna find out she with team no panties”
-I like how surprised he sounds when this actually makes a lot of sense.
“I’m off the Sirock, courtesy of Diddy
Shawty, I ain’t gonna lie, I came to see your titties”
-This line alone makes me want this song to be my personal anthem playing whenever I show up to a party so all the ladies know what’s up. Seein titties is the sole reason I go anywhere nowadays.
“Look baby girl I heard your pussy killer
Now isn’t that ironic, they call me pussy killer”
-This almost definitely my favorite rap line of the year. I want to go out and get this tattoo on my chest, no lie. I can’t emphasize enough how great this is.
“However you want it, you can get it, I’m the dealer
I get money, money, money I’m the money getting ngga”
-I just like how he said ‘money’ four times in one sentence. I believe him too, dude is signed to four labels without releasing shit, the advances he’s getting have to be ridiculous.
“Good girls want a bad boy to take home
You know they keep them good guys in the friend zone”
-This is a solid alpha line anyway, but the probably German translation lyrics site I’m copying these from said ‘good zone’ instead of friend zone, which I find hilarious and now I want to rename the friend zone.
“I’m the fucking best, I’m the fucking best
Hottest in the town all the girls love me
They don’t really know me,
But they know I’m getting money”
-In an era when having a message and spouting your bullshit opinions makes hip hop fggts get on your dick, I’m happy to see a song where the point is that if you get money bitches you don’t know will fuck you. Hope all the lame kids wasting their parents money being a struggling artist get an inspired by song and get dat career so they can throw cash around and get hoes. Cause that’s what America is about.

Red Cafe is one of those NY rappers who’ve been floating around with/ without a deal for years (I’d also put Papoose, Uncle Murda, and Saigon at this table as well, maybe even Maino, but I think he finally put out an album finally after “All of the Above” ) but never releases a full length.
He sort of had a hit with this one (at least in NYC) a couple of years back:
