His new album was just number one on them charts, which is pretty impressive from a debut from a guy whose name used to be ‘Tity Boi’. Love that name tho. I tried to listen to his whole album but I think I stopped near the end, but as far as I know there is a mix of songs so bad they’re good and mesmerizing and shit, and so bad they’re just really bad and really funny. This is maybe the most advanced music video i have ever seen. the combination of how well it is filmed, with the subject matter, simultaneous homage to and undermining of rap video tropes and overall weirdness makes this like the david lynch of rap videos.
then you need to see OFWGKTA ‘Rella’
Yeah this definitely is filmed very well, the fact that so many long stretches in the video are filmed as one continuous take is awesome. Will agree that Rella beats this in terms of pure weirdness tho. That part when Domo slaps the black out of that one girl :O
Rella is almost too zany for me, they went overboard. This is like the perfect level of weird and awesome.
