Do u rmbr DEMOLISHER??

I am a purist. As a purist, there is nothing I appreciate more than artists who set their sights on an incredibly specific aesthetic target and pursue it with laser-like focus, throwing out anything that dilutes their vision and leaving only the pure essence of the thing itself. This is why I like disneypunk, slam, jerkin music, and other genres that take an idea to its logical extreme (and why people with more conventional taste do not like them).

It is also why I love the short-lived deathcore band DEMOLISHER, whose 2009 EP “World Of Hatred” is still the purest expression I’ve ever heard of ‘make the most retardedly brutal, ignorant breakdown mosh album possible without it just turning into white noise.’ Oh and did I mention there is a bass drop in literally almost every measure of every song?? Not too bad for a band who had 2 members still in high school when they recorded it.

I seriously think the intro to this song might be the single heaviest riff of all time

WE ARE HERE TO FUCKING STAY!! *band breaks up 18 months later*

This lulzy video of them practicing in their basement is a classic– love the part where he practices his stage banter. Oh and dat farmer tan

They also recorded an album for Century Media, then promptly broke up and I think it never got released? It’s pretty good but there is something about the shittier production on the EP that makes it more br00tal imo

This band came and went pretty fast but goddamn the EP still goes hard as fuk– it is still in regular rotation on all my gym playlists, and is imo one of the most brutal moshcore records ever recorded. No idea what these dudes are up to now, does anyone have an update on them??

  4. Dan says:

I played a show with them before, twas stupidly heavy and awesome :D I recently listened to a lot of Demolisher actually, because funnily enough it kept coming up on shuffle while I was tearing up an old house. How lulzy.

  5. Walker says:

“Guys I want our songs to sound like Emmure, but without all the faggoty parts”

  6. YANNO says:

where can i download this illegally, preferably the album the last song was on

  7. Jonnyfilth says:

    2:15 in that first song:
    WE WILL RISE UP
    AND EAT YOUR FUCKING BUTT

sometimes i search for the other demolisher post, just so i can read this comment:

‘lol, i know these fgts. biggest beta’s on earth. One time the drummer got made fun of at a local chug-core show and started crying. this was only about a year ago. Somebody yelled “HAY GAY MAAAN!!” while they were on stage. The voice and tone of the kid who yelled it was HILARIOUS. Then the entire crowd started yelling the same, trying to imitate the original. The stereotypical frontman gave the usual fuck you’s and middle-fingers to the crowd. Apparently this upset them quite a bit, because they stopped playing soon after (or maybe its just bro as FUCK to play a 10 minute set).

Still, when individually seen at local shows, or sometimes together, kids still shout “HAAAYY GAAYY MAANNN” and everyone proceeds to shit their pants in laughter.’

  9. IgnorantMosh says:

I honestly had no clue their album even existed until someone posted it in the comments of a recent thread. I downloaded it a couple days ago and I don’t think I’ve gone more then 8 hours without listening to a Demolisher song since then.

Such an innovative band, taking mosh-core to bold new levels of ignorance.

    • IgnorantMosh says:

The snare on their EP actually sounds like a corny ‘slap’ sound effect from a shitty cartoon or something I love it.

  10. PCH Homeboy says:

Century Media signed them and they broke up a week later or some shit. Coulda been big I bet. They were on that dumb shit hardcore.

  11. lulz says:

i just hope feign dont break up so fast
made a “downcore” tag in my list so i can have non stop demolisher, feign and slam coke (by far not as good as first 2) rotation ;)

btw im gay for silly subsubsubgenre :D

  12. nutkin says:

i vividly rmbr the weird little kicks the guy does at 0:52 in the basement video.

  13. CallPastorJerkface says:

Thanks to your salesmanship Sarge I was anxiously awaiting Demolisher’s Century Media debut. I was sincerely bummed when it never officially came out (me being the physical media dork that I am). Any chance that something in their contract with Century spooked them – via them being kids and not understanding the nature of business?

    • Sergeant D says:

Other way around: they were dumb little kids that didn’t know how to be in a band and fucked everything up for themselves (srs).

      • CallPastorJerkface says:

        So sad.

      • The Truth says:

Setting the record straight. The drummer Matt Rushton was a controlling prick who gave no one else in the band breathing room. Tried to tell everyone what to do all the time. That’s why they went through shit tons of people and ended up with Matt being the only original member left. All the newest dudes got sick of his shit and planned to kick him out and get a new drummer. One of the guitarists told him. He blocked them from the webpage. Kicked them all out. Tried to find new members. Failed. Hard. Karma at its finest.

  14. Dude Demolisher is one if my favorite local bands. You have no idea how much it pisses me off that I only got into hardcore after they broke up, would’ve loved to see them live.
The track “FEFC” is probably my favorite bc of the oceano dude doing guest vocals. I am seriously considering getting “bring tha beatdown” tattooed across my chest because of it, that shit would kick ass.
Feels less weird to still be listening to this EP everyday know that I know you do it too!

summed up my personality here to a t. brb commiting this to memory so i can explain to my friends and loved ones why i do the things i do

  16. nils says:

Where can i download the EP? :3

  17. beholdthesharktopus says:

I rmbr these guys from that Metal Inquisition post about deathcore back in the good ol’ days. Was always too lazy to download to EP until recently, just listened to Windy City Takeover on Youtube a lot.

  18. Kenny says:

NEVER BACK DOWN FROM A FUCKING FIGHT = my new anthem

  19. Adam says:

From my area, though never really paid any attention to them (not into breakdown/slogancore, no regretz). Super lulzy and public break up after a tour with Defiler. You used to be able to read the comment war between the band members on their page, but it’s since been deleted.

TJ, the guitar player from the top promo, plays in Bitter Thoughts now, he got out before the super lulzy fight though. I go to college with him. The chillest of dudes. Pretty high ranking at one of the frats actually. Does frat shit and the gets his ignant mosh on.

Band had so many members that it’s hard to keep straight where they all ended up. Seems like almost every band around here has had a member from demolisher here or there.

  20. Joel Stone says:

I’m working with the guitarist of Demolisher on a new project called ‘Vultures’. We did a short project named ‘Rogue’. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiSO6RtdXkY

I can keep you posted on everything as it happens.
