DUBSTEP MOSHCORE IS FINALLY MASTERED (via EXOTYPE)

strong

Strong pandering to the broadest demographics possible

ALRIGHT SO for a long time I’ve been waiting for a band to come along and CORRECTLY combine heavy as fuck moshable BDC jams with sick dubstep wobs and drops, but bands always fell on two sides of the spectrum: Heavy as fuck guitar parts but the weakest wobbles imaginable (The Browning), or sick wobs but not actual mosh structure (Commissioner [sorry Cam I still love you]). So in the face of that I set out to create my own mix of slamming guttural pit riffment, sick drops, and catchy and emotional trancecore parts. I was gonna call it Punchgore Superbass, and it was gonna be a hit. Then my real bands started doing way more important shit so the project was shelved. I thought the state of dubmoshcore was hopeless since no one seemed to give a fuck about exploring this new, amazing territory…

meer

Artist’s rendering of The Scene looking up and shouting “Save us”…and the mosh gods whispering “No”

..AND THEN IN THE GAPING VOID, A TRANSLUCENT RAY OF HOPE SHINED

Behold EXOTYPE: Saviors of my Grand Design. This is so advanced level it hurts. It might be a bit too srs for some of you, but that’s precisely why I love it. They BELIEVE in dubmosh. It gives me the same kind of good feels that I got when I connected with Crazy Town and Linkin Park in 6th grade. Plus it’s heavy as FUCK, and has a completely tacked on hook at the end that rules. Their EP is 100% professional level clubmosh. Hoping to play shows with these guys at some point since they are from my beloved place of residence, CENTRAL FLORIDA. Would quite literally advertise the show as The Epic of Giglamosh because I’d do it with Ovid’s Withering (click 2 funderstand).

Steve Joh, I know you are reading this, SIGN THESE GUYS TO (LEADING INDEPENDENT RECORD LABEL) CENTURY MEDIA. I want to hear them produced by Sturgis or Tue Madsen, then I want you to put 7 Horns 7 Eyes on tour with them so I can mosh to this every night and my bandmates can just deal with it. This is my open pitch to you (Also send me the new Extol you jerk).

ANYWAY CHECK THESE GUYS OUT ON FACEBOOK AND TELL THEM SHIV SENT YOU (or say Ovdi Pls or whatever you guys always bring up whenever anything has anything to do with me)

  8. AetherJake says:

I get butthurt about this band and rings of saturn because I hate memes and anyone that takes anything seriously

  9. Walker says:

It just dawned on me that there will probably be a new nu-metal which will sound like Korn + dubstep. it will be like that album they did with skrillex, but it will take off in 2013-2014

    • Midas Welby says:

Actually sort-of dreading rock historians down the road a few years asserting, Behind The Music-style, that Korn were laughed at and shunned for the dubstep thing but then redeemed by other bands picking up the nu-metal/wobble mantle and running with it.

  10. Postmodern Warfare says:

These guys are pretty SAACK but nothing satiates my dubmosh urges more than Fail Emotions sorry guise

  11. TheEpicOfGilgamosh says:

    You now owe me royalties.

  12. lulz says:

ive been waiting for that even if the part after 3.20 is a bit of a turn off

shiv knows whats good and lovely in this world

  13. 808bump says:

SHIV!!! Thanks bro! I’ve been looking for this exact sound, but like you said, DONE RIGHT! will download all eps/10.

  14. Godeye says:

No actual wobbles, just stupidly low-tuned guitar (seriously what the fuck) plus filters. Perfect.

  15. RJG says:

This is going on my gym playlist in-between Waka Flocka and E-Town.

  16. eurotrash says:

Bass bro is straight outa ’92, perfect Sepullica vibez.
wood throw coupla grand at band to have Lance Henriksen star in next vid/10

  17. shawnyouwillhate says:

    that’s a lot of dandruff

  18. Save Parker says:

I do totally believe that a little seriousness was the last piece of the puzzle to dubstepcore or whatever, as other bands just came off as zany and dumb when they did it. As the first innovators of this specifically, they’ll probably get left in the dust as some band comes along and rips them off to make money. #FirstMoverDisadvantage

  19. Eurobro says:

Needs more wobbles, but I can deffly see myself bounce and/or do wiggerish hand movements to this.

  20. Limbface says:

This is literally perfect. BRB downloading their whole album and listening to on repeat.

  21. Pelikan says:

How about Beyond All Recognition? I think they do this even better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPD4nvvLDls

    • Lionel Richie says:

This was the band I thought he was going to talk about when I read the title, Drop=Dead is surprisingly good once you get past the matching football jackets.

  22. VyceVictus says:

Moshed my left nut off. Exotype, The Browning, and Hacktivist would be the illest tour ever.
Fuck “real” metal, the future is now, and it is good. This shit goes hard.

  23. Nightshift says:

It’s like someone went back to the years between 1996 and 1999, listened to ‘Songs of Love and Hate’ and ‘Love And Hate in Dub’ followed by ‘Us And Them’ then tacked on some shitty triggered double bass that’s way too far up front in the mix.

  24. MasterSlave says:

    This is fantastic. Thank you

  25. yup says:

they look like they’re in a bad 90′s horror/sci-fi movie.

brb filming our music video at the set of Return of the Living Dead 3

  26. Notderek says:

  27. 808bump says:

The guitarist messaged me on Facebook. I bet he’s totally wondering what a shiv is, and is totally wondering why they were posted on a site called “stuffyouwillhate”. Lol

  28. rizzle01 says:

Check out my band IBS’s song “How to Become Metal” for some more Dubcore. http://www.facebook.com/2012IBS2012/app_178091127385

  29. Anonymous says:

MOSHSTEP. this is next level as fuck, thx

  30. faceplant says:

to me it just sounds like a deathcore version of fear factory. but what do i know i’m old and still cant differentiate dub step from other types of electronic music. It all sounds like Atari Teenage Riot to my ears.

  31. Taytex says:

In a few years, there will be a ‘nu-metalcore’ page on Wikipedia and these guys will be in the first paragraph.

  32. Anonymous says:

see also: catalepsy for the exact same band (literally) minus dubstep.

  33. venezuelandude says:

i’m not sure if this is just weird or waaaay too next level

  34. Dill Weed says:

I did not listen to the whole thing but I feel like On Broken Wings should have jumped on this shit when they were still around.

  35. xFredSavagecorex says:

    Needs more Fleet Foxes.
