  2. I also like the fish says:

Neon years (2007-2010) i cared for this because i lived through this

Grey scale years(2011-2014) the most boring and unfun years ever witnessed

  3. Tears Of Buttstration says:

Pretty much says it all. People are too self aware now, and afraid of being cheesey aka having fun. Every other subgenera has been co-opted already, so in the quest for authenticity warped tour kids are now into “real hardcore”, and hipsters are so desperate for something underground to be into they have turned to doom and black metal since there’s nothing else left.

Hopefully some scene bands will do with stoner/black metal what deathcore did with death metal, therefor making it not cool to be into anymore, then there will be NO obscure subgenera left to jock for cool points and people will have to actually do something new.

I wonder when we will start to see the ‘other side’ of the troowave? I think we are still deep in the middle, embroiled by dark clouds of denim vests and torrential rains of Tom’s. I think it is only going to get worse too; inb4 2013 Xibalbawave takes off and all the new bands start jocking 90s black metal (srs think this is going to happen).

Only Nosleepcore is real, keep the revival scene alive.

  6. Tears Of Buttstration says:

It could be worse guys, if you’re too young to remember 90s swing revival or 3rd wave ska, I envy you…

  7. ….hahahahahahahahahaahah

    this is fucking great

  8. Nightshift says:

They’ll all be listening to metal or indie rock in a few years anyway. Hardcore is generally too shallow of a genre to have much of a shelf life, that’s why most who start off being into it eventually branch out or abandon it when they get tired of being around teenagers. It’s not about becoming too cool or too underground, it’s about losing interest.

    • Charlie Brown says:

That’s true about every genre of music.

    • AntiHero says:

This is true to a degree, but you’ll get tired of all that deep, intellectual stuff too. It all comes full circle. There’s a reason why you got into hardcore in the first place and that interest will never fully go away.

    • TLDR says:

I agree to an extent, that there is really only so much pretense one can manage via hardcore, I think faggots tend to hit a ceiling with it around age 20-21 and thats when they move onto gayer genres, ie indie rock

Oh wait did I just make the opposite of your point?

  9. Anonymous says:

this is why we can’t have nice things.
