Even though their name is pretty dumb, lets face it, all bands have dumb names. Look at my all time favorite band ‘As I Lay Dying’ – their named after a Faulkner book. Books are so lame. Like who reads? We have the Internet. And its full of porn. Go to college, nerd. These turd burglars are from Rochester, NY where everyone is mad about stuff and there are a lot of biker gangs. Sounds like a great place to write some pissed off metal tunes.

Lesbehonest, metalcore is awesome. It has all the best parts of metal and none of the boring parts like anything Asking Alexandria tries to pass off as music. I love me some breakdowns and sing a longs and drop D riffs for days. Up until the time I joined City Lights I was determined to start a Killswitch Engage cover band. So my passion for metalcore has stained my soul and I’ll always be a sucker for music of that nature.
This is probably the coolest icon logo I’ve seen in a while.
Anyways, I first heard about this band from the guitarist of my band. His old band had toured with them and he knew I would like them. Which I do. We actually played a show with them the other day and I was up front actin’ a fool as the street kids would say. They dropped their last EP Wasteland in May and I jam it pretty regularly.

This song starts off with a pretty BA breakdown so all the kids are gonna be like swinging fists and whatnot when this jam plays. It’s also got one of those cool sing a long parts for you to pile up and get your smelly breath all over the singers mic. Seriously, if you’re gonna sing into a mic at a show, take a mentos or something. Nobody wants to smell your PBR infused taco breath.

This band has some awesome technical skill as well. Their guitarist looks like Adam D’s little brother, and with his Charvel Guitar endorsement he couldn’t be sucking that dick any harder. Their vocalist could fill in for that dude from Parkway Drive and nobody would be the wiser. Lastly their drummer plays the buckets like a mofo. Pretty much this band not only writes good music, but they can play it well. All in all, this band is sweet. Check them out. They are spot on live as well, so sing a long and buy some merch.

cool seeing these guys get love. “no light without a dark” has such an insanly catchy chorus. yay for rochester. its not that terrible here, just avoid streets with single letter names

legit saw these dudes play in SA at the korova in the basement. sucks cuz they were put on the bill with cattle decap and dying fetus so there were very few people watching them. They still fucking killed it though!
