New REIGN SUPREME song = you’re moshing #mediaskarecore

reign-supreme-400-070609

If you are a moshing enthusiast, you are almost certainly also a REIGN SUPREME fan. They’ve been quietly churning out some of the best mosh fodder of this generation of hardcore, although it’s been so long since their last release that I thought these guys had kinda disappeared. I was apparently wrong, because they’re back with a new single that is pretty fucking awesome, and an accompanying lyric video that’s basically a series of Impact-font slogan t-shirts– so advanced!!

New album “Sky Burial” drops March 19th on Mediaskare– stay tuned and prepare your anus!

you will get served

    WATCH IT BLEED!!!
    WATCH IT BURN!!!
    WATCH IT DIE!!!

BRB BEHAVING UNRULY AND ACTING DISRUPTIVE

  2. policerespond says:

apparently releasing a brutal/semi-generic mosh jam is an invitation for the youtube community to argue genre classifications okay

  3. demcats says:

last breakdown was unexpected, unreal, unsafe

  4. C.N. says:

Camo shorts, you know what time it is!

  5. totally have not been paying attention to Reign Sup for years. YES INDEED,, I AM MOSHING

hopefully this album is catchier as a whole versus Testing the Limits of Infinite, there were about 5 or 6 fucking perfect songs on that album was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long and full of filler. I have high hopes!

  6. eurotrash says:

Great fucking band, heavy ass song!
My only concern is that the new album will cause a blehprosy epidemic around the globe and there’s no cure for that yet.

  7. S. says:

P much my fav band and great song, but I’m not really feeling the lyrics tbh. Seems like he just screamed random lines when recording vocs, still few great lines there doe.

  8. BLEH! says:

LIKE A GOD / IN YOUR FANTASY / WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORLD

  9. SexHaver1987 says:

Lol, this video was posted in at Punk/Hardcore thread at some other forum I lurk and immediately people jumped on the fact that they said whore and how hardcore is an environment that’s open for all people and all lifestyles and if you didn’t agree you should “check your fuckin’ privilege”. NFC’s gonna NFC.

    • Sergeant D says:

it’s so baffling to me to hear that kind of rhetoric in 2013, it’s seriously like a flashback to the mid 90s.

      • SexHaver1987 says:

Haha, yeah, and a couple of posts afterwards someone said it sounded like music for bros with backward turned caps and Tapout tees. The ironing

    • DickHertz says:

was it something awful? that place got overrun with commies and tumblr sjws around 2009 or so. fortunately you can avoid the vast majority of it if you stay the fuck away from certain spots. *cough* d&d and e/n *cough*

      • thetotalbro says:

I haven’t been to something awful since maybe 2007-08, and I remember it being way cooler and more willing to hurt butts instead of be hurt in the butt. wut happened (srs question, not rhetorical).

  10. sauce says:

heard another song when i saw them this past summer. and it was just as heavy.

  11. The wording of the description at the end makes it seem like it should be read by some drive-time DJ in a major market reading copy for some new hit single that he is unfamiliar with (think Phil Hartman on News Radio or Handsome Dan from Waynes World 2).

“All right guys, this has been ‘the hopelessly devoted’ by hard rock act ‘Reign Supreme’. You can catch them all summer long on tour and be sure to pick up their new album exclusively on Mediaskare records. You’re listening to Freddy Z and Stinky on WPIITB 101.4″

  12. refusetodie says:

I haven’t paid attention to this band in a while. The American Violence EP was pretty goddamn sweet but the LP got a lot of negative feedback and what little I bothered to check out left me feeling meh. This is pretty moshable though. I’m glad they’re doing an EP, I feel like with bands like this, less is more.

  13. steve says:

hello, can someone rec me some more bands that bring the mosh like this?
I currently am familiar with No Zodiac, Xibalba, xUntil the Endx and Terror. I honestly do prefer slam bands and pitt riffment but have been getting into this style of hXc music.

      UNTILXTHEXEND

lololol this band is so ridiculous, but I love them anyways. A friend of mine recently broke edge and was getting tattooed, and the tattooer put them on as a joke to heckle him and we all sang along talking about how ridiculous we were when we were younger and took this band seriously. Good times

One band I definitely recommend that seems to get little mention anymore is Cast Aside. Go get their record “Struggle.” It is literally the hardest straight edge record of all time in my opinion (srs). Some lulzy lyrics but not nearly as bad as until the end, and also theyre delivered so hard you can’t argue with them. GREAT workout band too. “NO EXCUSES!!!” = hard as fuk

I seriously kind of want to do a post about them, they are my 2nd favorite straight edge band ever and I honestly can’t think of any edge bands that sound harder than them. IIRC they were in Courage Crew too, so they are hard irl as well

    • TLDR says:

Also 100 Demons fucking rules they kind of fall in this category.

And WEEKEND NACHOS has some amazing mosh/depressing/witty lyrics to go with it

  14. tommy t says:

to steve… old hatebreed, first blood, black my heart, recon, on broken wings, harm’s way

  15. suchjosh says:

Shit. Goes. Hard. I cannot even believe people like music that doesn’t have breakdowns.

  16. Nightshift says:

Perfect song for driving your Xterra to your friendly suburban Orlando Applebee’s for happy hour after hitting that wicked sick 265lb. 1RM on deadz to overcompensate for still having that xxxvegantilldeathxxx@gmail.com address.

  17. DROP Z says:

They almost went full djent at the end.
    You never go full djent.

  18. uppercut613 says:

WTF is that guy holding on the far left? from a distance it looked like he was holding his dick, now from closer up it looks like hes got a gun in his pants

    pls respond

  19. GroundDweller says:

dat snare reminds me a little of harm’s way. really like this, will check em out in the future. the last breakdown was ridiculously good. fuck if i know wtf they’re going on about, though but then again who needs good lyrics when you have these breakdowns…

  20. Pabst Infused Taco Breath says:

I am much more able to mosh out when I am not presented with lulzy lyric videos. Brb, gonna go make a fan video of this song to lions taking out zebras and gazelles and shit.

  21. mijogoestojuniorcollege says:

okay so i turned on the song, then everything went red. my coworkers appear to have been moshed to death. what do i do?
