One of the most awkward parts of the scene is what my friend Johncantslowdown calls GGBB: Good Guys, Bad Band. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve gritted my teeth and forced a smile out when one of my friends played me their horrible band’s horrible music. Which is why DEFILER is so dear to my heart: they are one of those rare examples of a good band who are also the best dudes. They’ve gotten about as much as a band can get (unless the name of the band is ATTACK ATTACK), but their butts are still pain-free.
