I like Muay Thai.

TKD is cool for learning how to trick. Kung Fu is cool if you like Kung Fu cinema.

I have experience with all three, amongst others.

Which one did you think was cooler? Which one was more practical? Which one would you recommend to a girl with a background in rhythmic gymnastics?

Also, there kinda really isn't such a thing as "practical" martial arts, since the rules and constructs that define turn out to inherently limit them in combat. But as bread would exemplify, learning fundamentals of various techniques is always good. Kickboxing is cool cuz it really gets you in shape, you train with a guy in your face, and you get used to using all your extremities. However, punching is inherently dangerous to your fists and your shins are all at once a powerful weapon and a big weak spot. Although you might knock somebody out, you may may risk breaking yourself using muay Thai moves against niggas in the street.

You're really not going to learn anything practical from traditional styles of martial arts for many years. Unless you're smart or are experienced in other styles. Like they purposely only teach you forms for an awkwardly long period of time. Muay Thai is pretty practical, it's designed to kill fast. You can go to an MMA type gym if you want to learn practical technique as well. BJJ was designed for fighting opponents you would normally be disadvantaged against. Or Krav Maga, like Jonny said. Sambo is a pretty lethal style as well. I've just learned to adapt different shit into being able to react to situations as I recognize them.
