Oh shit, beta invite for the Starcraft 2 expansion. That was unexpected, Blizzard never gives me invites.

They keep telling me I'm trying to sell my world of warcraft account. Which is kinda funny, seeing as I've never had one. And that those emails always go straight to spam.

Just finished my download and worked through all the freezes. The games pretty sweet. I just have to find the right settings to play it with as little lag as possible.

So I have never played WoW, but I am sure it's good and lovely as millions of people think it's sweet. However, I am mindbottled about the Kung Fu Panda expansion they are putting out. I mean, wtf? Panda land? Seems very strange to bring humanoid panda's into the mix.

What u WoW bros think about this?

I LOVE the new expansion. I've played the game since about '06(?) and after playing it for so long, I was a little unsure of the new expansion when I realized it involved Pandas. But the thing is, Pandaren have been in the lore since the 90's, so I'm not really butthurt at all. The whole "azn" theme is a cool addition to the game (WotLK was nordic themed, and that expansion was fucking awesome). I'm really more stoked on the new game mechanics (talent tree, new MONK class, etc.) because I PVP, and I literally give zero fucks about what my character looks like (proof: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/alterac-mountains/Jinoszala/simple), as long as I rape in battlegrounds (which I do as seen in this video, i am the one wearing a dress)

Pandaren. They started off as a race in the old RTS games. Like Merc units or whatever. Apparently people wanted them in WoW, so boom. New continent and playable race. or something like that.

WoW's panderian thing is interesting because while yes they have been lore for ages, they were still a joke and not meant to be taken seriously. The panderians were a foot note and existed for the sole purpose of going "lol check it out doodz samurai panda!" because one of the Blizzard artists liked pandas. So while the its not like they have really fucked up lore I think they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel ( nearly 10 year old a game based on expanding every little in inconsequential fart from an old RTS into a epic story lines it is bound to happen) and I find it hard to adjust to the pandas being in prominent and serious fashion.


Either way it will get some new kids in and keep some old players paying subs for a while longer before WoW eventually goes Free to Play a year before Blizz releases their new MMO IP 'Titan'.
