Tween Scene chicks heart "Teaser" by T Mills

Much in the same way that shirtless tweens like to do Screamo covers of "The Biebz", I have recently discovered another trend amoung bored middle class white kids. As we all know from the seemingly endless stream of Mills related content recently, nothing soaks underage scene panties like that dude, and now we have another disturbing manifestation of this.

For some unfathamable reason, there is a whole host of videos of girls who have filmed themselfs awkwardly singing along to the song "Teaser". When I first discoved two girls torturing a cat via this method in a Hyperviolence post I thought it was just a one off, but as you can see, the problem has spread much, much further afoot.

The "Patient Zero", of awkward T Mills covers. Note how the cat really wishes he wasn't there.

heart the annoying chick in the Whitechapel tee

"At the ennnnnd, I say he gives my vagina an erection and
if I had a penis, he'd give it one to :)" - Wut?!?!?

Obviously a big thing with the OTWs

The last one is the most worrying to me, as they appear to be in some kind of shop/gallery/public space. Who knows quite what overtook them here, that they absolutely had to whip out their Macbook and do it right there, instead of in the safety of their own homes, free from the confused creepy azn guy behind them. Love how whenever the lyrics get particularly raunchy they hastily glance over their shoulder, presumably in case their parents (who probably own said macbook) hear them, although they definately dont seem to give a shit about azn dude.

One last thing, before I go, In addition to Monday's post, I would also like to add that animal cruelty is neither cool nor scene, and that you take a moment to remember John.......

EP > DEMO TAPE

Have you noticed that all emerging scene bands either have an ep out or one in the pipeline? The days of the demo tape are long forgotten, and groups of 7 suburban whites (toss in one ethnic for street cred) are cranking their expensive, parent-bought full stacks in the studio to produce sparkling 6-song digital ep's. They leak one song on myspace and one teaser medley, while they work out a deal with itunes, screenprint neon t-shirts for merchnow, and lineup a opening summer tour slot with their favorite band ("we're still in high school bro!").

Am I complaining? No, I love it, I'm just old and it looks so easy to sound so professional and make moves now.
It's like going to the skatepark and realizing that 13 year olds are getting gnar, while you are still doing the same 5-0 grind you've been doing for the past 8 years. Kind of embarrassing huh?

Enter The Go Time, who you will surely hate. All the pieces are in play here, pink myspace background, goofy band shot, leopard print tees?, plugs, flat-ironed hair, and a couple thousand friends. The music includes gross abuse of auto-tune, rap-rock parts, and deathmetal growls all wrapped up into catchy pop-punk songs about girls.
LoL @ me finding out about them via spam they left on A Day To Remember's facebook page, guess it worked.

Follow them on twitter-they're sure to blow, and of course their ep is coming soon! They don't have much of a presence on youtube yet because they probably haven't even played a show, but I did find a boring drum vid:

Also see Sergeant D's profile on The Stereos if you want to know more about our wacky neighbors to the north who use heavy auto-tune.
Also, what are your favorite one ep bands?

Vinnie Stigma: Deep Thoughts and a bid for the White House

Here are some videos I made a couple of years ago when I was working for this magazine called Flo. They made the rounds on Bridge 9 and a lot of other hardcore boards but I thought I'd post them all here just for shits and giggles. Apparently Roger Miret was not real happy about them because he thought we were making fun of Vinnie, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Vinnie is a hardcore legend, nice guy, and hilarious. These are tributes, not mockery. We love Vinnie, Agnostic Front and are grateful for all his contributions to music (such as arguably INVENTING hardcore).

FYI: This post is not a joke or sarcastic. I really did make these videos.
